SCANNELL, Patricia Scannell – Obituary

SCANNELL, Patricia –   On Saturday, October 10, 2015, at the age of 73.

At home in Milton, surrounded with much love by her family, after a very brave battle with cancer. She was the epitome of a true lady, through and through, even in her final days.

Deeply loved wife of Howard for 51 years. Mother of Cindy and her husband Craig Germain, Howie and Stephen and his wife Erin (Gauthier).

Patricia was the loving and proud grandmother of seven grandchildren: Courtney, Kaitlyn, Jocelyn, Rachel, Matthew, Morgan and Chad. Daughter of the late Robert and Charlotte Paton of Toronto. 

Predeceased by her two brothers: John (Jep) and Bob. Much loved aunt of many nieces and nephews.

Patricia grew up spending her summers on Lake Rosseau at Windermere. In recent years, she enjoyed being a “snowbird” with Howard; she will be dearly missed by her many friends both here in Milton and at Crystal Lake in Naples, Florida. Many thanks from the family for the support and personalized care from the staff at the Credit Valley Cancer Centre and Mississauga Halton CCAC.

Friends and family may visit at the McKersie-Kocher Funeral Home at 114 Main Street in Milton from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Thursday. The funeral service will take place at McKersie- Kocher on Friday at 11 a.m. Cremation will follow.

Friends and family are invited to a Celebration of Life at the Royal Canadian Legion, Milton following the service.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Credit Valley Cancer Centre, Mississauga Halton CCAC or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
