O’NEILL, Patrick Joseph  –

October 13, 1940 – October 18, 2023

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Patrick Joseph O’Neill, who passed away October 18, 2023, at the age of 83.

Patrick was a loving husband to Vikki; father to Róisín (Ryan), Patrick (deceased) and Katrina (deceased); son-in-law to Marie; and grandfather to Keegan.

Patrick also leaves behind siblings, Eamonn, Brendan and Dympna; and many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews, in his home country of Ireland.

Patrick devoted almost 30 years working for The Ontario English Catholic Teachers’ Association (OECTA), providing counsel, with compassion and integrity, to hundreds of teachers in Ontario before moving to the newly established Ontario College of Teachers in 1997.

After setting up the college’s Investigations & Hearings department, Patrick retired in 2002.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 4th, from 1:00-3:00 p.m. at Kane-Jerrett Funeral Homes (6191 Yonge Street, Toronto, Ontario).
