Neil Charles Patterson passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family.

Born in Vancouver to Donald and Mary (Benson) Patterson, Neil spent his early years in Manitoba and Huntsville, Ontario. He was a devoted father to Doug, Ben, Meredith, and Greg, and a proud grandfather to Pearl and Violet.

Neil shared many cherished years with his beloved partner, Jay Du Boisson. Their relationship was filled with joy, mutual respect, and the happiness of shared families and grandchildren.

Remembered for his quiet strength, dry wit, and generous spirit, Neil was a gifted listener and a lifelong learner. He loved the outdoors, especially Algonquin Park and Martin Lake Hunt Camp, and took great joy in fishing, hunting, and sharing fireside moments with dear friends.

He had a lifelong connection to the Wilfred Laurier University circle and forged new community ties in Grimsby through his garden group, political involvement, and neighbourly friendships.

Neil leaves a legacy of love, laughter, and storytelling. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
