ARNOTT, Paul Douglas  – Peacefully, at Kawartha Lakes Extendicare, on Saturday, July 22, 2023, in his 87th year.

Paul, beloved husband of 59 years to the late Dorothea (nee Hanna).

Loving and devoted father of Cindy Arnott Brown (Bill), Cory Lester (Danny), Cheryl Day, and Christine Keefe (Sean, predeceased).

Loving and devoted grandfather of Megan Avalos (Christopher), Courtney Lester (Pato Palma), Rae Anne Day (Brad Marple), Paul Day (Robin Joseph), Jason Keefe, and Matthew Keefe; and great-grandfather, Penelope Day, Genevieve Day, Jagger Avalos, Shyne Avalos and Florencia Palma Lester.

Paul enjoyed many years with family and friends in Bay Ridges, Pickering.

Paul was fortunate to retire from Fiberglass Repair Centre in 1988 and spent twenty-plus years travelling to Florida with Dorothea for the winter. They built their retirement home on Chemong Lake, where he enjoyed many years of fishing and snowmobiling with family and friends. Paul and Dorothea spent their last years in the City of Peterborough.

Paul was an active member of the Peterborough Naval Association for many years. He was an avid horseshoe and pool player, enjoying the game with his friends both summer and winter for many years.

Paul was loved and will be missed by family and friends.

In keeping with Paul’s wishes, he will be cremated and buried with his beloved Dorothea.

Paul’s family would like to extend many thanks to the staff at Kawartha Lakes Extendicare for their loving care of

Paul during his final days.

In his memory, donations to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated by his family.
