PAULL , Nancy Dittaro Paull

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Nancy Dittaro Paull on August 13, 2025.

Nancy was born on April 19, 1954, in Fort Frances, Ontario to Mary Lou and Angelo Dittaro. She loved swimming and spent summers working as a lifeguard at the Point. In high school, she was fondly referred to as “The Blonde Bombshell,” reflecting her beauty, style, and flair. Nancy had a love for antiques and took pride in refinishing furniture. Her thrill for speed and cars translated into a love for racing — a passion she shared with her son and grandson.

In 1980, Nancy met the love of her life, Garnet Paull. Together with her daughter Terra and Garnet’s children Carrie, Kristine, and Curtis, they formed a beautiful blended family. A year later, their son Gavin was born. Nancy and Garnet shared deep love for all five of their children.

Nancy’s strong work ethic was evident throughout her career. She worked at Green’s Furniture before starting a fulfilling role in Human Resources at the local pulp and paper mill. After the mill’s closure, she joined the team at Betty’s, where she enjoyed organizing, chatting with customers, and supporting her coworkers — while also being one of their most loyal shoppers.

She was immensely proud of her grandchildren and loved attending their sporting events, especially dirt track races. After Garnet’s passing, Nancy maintained close bonds with all five children and their families. She cherished family gatherings and time spent with her Dittaro cousins, as well as special friendships with Max, Denise, and Ellen.

Nancy will be deeply missed for her kind heart, spicy tongue, and generous nature. She truly loved life and all those around her.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband Garnet Paull, her parents Mary Lou and Angelo Dittaro, sister Nicki Hum, son-in-law Todd Baker, grandchildren Lindsay and Ryan, and several in-laws.

Nancy is survived by her children: Terra Haines (Barry), Gavin Paull (Joëlle), Carrie Baker (Jason), Kristine Brown (Greg), and Curtis Paull (Saveria); grandchildren Aprille, Garrett, Jett, Joel, Jared (Micaela), Jessie (Doug), Seneca (Nick), Spencer (Sydney), Riley (Erik), and Jake; and seven great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother Pat Dittaro, brother-in-law Phil Hum, and extended family of in-laws, nieces, and nephews.

As per Nancy’s wishes, a small private gathering for friends and family will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Emo Speedway.
