PELESHOK, Helen Stella Peleshok

Entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on September 14, 2025, at the age of 95, at HDGH’s Palliative Care Unit, in Windsor, Ontario.

Born on May 8, 1930, in Windsor, Ontario, Helen was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 37 years, Tyrone Peleshok, her precious daughters Linda Marchant (2023), Sharon Theaker (2007), and Lisa Neumann (2021); her son-in-law Reiner Neumann (2025); and her dear siblings Mike, Eugene, John, Eddie, Olga, Ted, and James.

She is survived by her son Terry (Lydia), and son-in-law Tim Theaker; her sister-in-laws Norma Seagull and Victoria Seagull, as well as many nieces and nephews; her seven grandchildren Sherry (Mike), Jessica (Lubo), Emily (Ryan), Carly, Christopher (Lesleigh), Brian (Nicola), and Stephen (Rachael); eleven great-grandchildren—Deanna and Callie, Abigail, Isabel and Theodore, Sonya, Maya and Nadya, Madeline, Nash and Anderson—and one more on the way!

Helen began attending Campbell Baptist Church at 11 years old. She was active with the Bus ministry, taught Sunday School, and volunteered with Vacation Bible School and Music Day Camp, and served in the church kitchen. She was also a part of “Youth for Christ” in the 40s and 50s.

Family was very important to Helen, and she worked hard to preserve her family’s history. She loved taking pictures and retelling stories of the “old days”, passing on the family record with the generations that came after her.

Faith too was important to Helen, and she attended First Baptist Church in Leamington for over twenty years.

A special thank you to the staff in the Palliative Unit at Hôtel-Dieu Grace Healthcare for their excellent care of Helen in her final days.

Visitation will take place on Thursday, September 18, 2025, from 10:00am – 11:00am at Families First (3260 Dougall Ave. Windsor, Ontario). A private family funeral will follow.
