November 20, 1942 – June 6, 2023

 

Born in Swastika, ON to Mabel and Harold.

 

A firecracker to those that knew and loved her. As comfortable in cut-offs picking blueberries in the bush as she was in a gown.

 

Penny married Neil Culhane in ’65 and proceeded to travel the world with her three children, Michelle, Katy and Carol in tow cooking up a storm for guests wherever she went.

 

Never one to stay still for long, her charitable endeavours in South Africa, adopting orphaned Kangaroos in Australia, her affinity for awkward teenagers, her own or others, and her sense of adventure were always evident.

 

She is survived by her brother, Jim (James); her daughters, Michelle and Carol; and grandchildren, Max, Morgan and Felix.

 

In lieu of donations or flowers, Penny’s wish is that you take yourself and someone you adore out for a long lunch. Linger over your meal and enjoy it fully.
