PETERS, Reta Yvonne Peters

Passed away peacefully after a short illness on December 8, 2025 at the age 92 years. Born in Raleigh Township on July 17, 1933. Beloved wife and best friend of late Steve (2017) of 63 years.  Loving mother of Steven Peters (Mary Slavik) of Kent Bridge, and John Peters (Louise Pachal) of Richmond Hill. Proud grandmother of Steven (Katie), Jennifer (Luke), Jessica (Devon), Wesley (Kim), Brooke (Dean), and two step grandchildren Nicole (Diego) and Alanna. Loving great-grandmother to Charlotte and Theo, and step GG to Jeremy.   Reunited with late parents Wesley and Lenna Pepper and siblings Clark, Alfred, Ina, Dorothy, Lily, Ada, Don, and Grace. Dear sister of Bob (Glenna) Pepper, Bert (Andrea) Pepper.  Sister-in-law to Rose Pepper. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Reta was a creative force.  Whether it was knitting, ceramics, pen and ink drawings, beaded and ribbon crafts, her creations were always beautiful and treasured.  Known as “Cookie” Reta to family, her baking was always the first to disappear off the table.  Countless hours were spent on 1,000+ piece puzzles and playing Uno with the grandkids.  Reta was adored beyond measure by her family.  She loved video calls with her grandchildren who lived afar.

Our heartfelt thanks to the team of Kingsville neighbourhood at the Villages of St. Clair.  You gave Reta a new home where she felt loved and cared for each and every day.

Visiting will be held on Monday, December 15th, 2025 from 6-8pm with prayers at 8pm at Families First (3260 Dougall Ave. South Windsor, 519-969-5841). On Tuesday, December 16th, 2025,  family and friends are invited to meet at Corpus Christi (1400 Cabana Rd. W.) from 10am until time of Funeral Mass at 11am, followed by a procession to Heavenly Rest Cemetery for Farewell Service.

Given Reta’s love of Christmas, memorial donations can be made to the Windsor Goodfellows, or, the Salvation Army Windsor Centre of Hope.
