PFOHL, Ronald Brian Pfohl

He born on April 7, 1950, in Galt, Ontario, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 1, 2025, at Lisaard House. He was in his 76th year. He leaves behind a legacy of music and the enduring love of his family and friends.

Ronald, the father of Andrew James Pfohl, is survived by his brother, Daniel Pfohl; niece, Jennifer Kaytar; nephews, Mark Halstead, Daniel Halstead, and Christopher Pfohl. He was predeceased by his parents, Elsie and Ward, his sister, Jeanne Halstead, and his brother, Bernard.

Ronnie’s passion for music was the core and soundtrack of his life. An avid musician, he found joy in his guitar and the rhythm of his drums, playing with an energy that could brighten any room. His gift for songwriting reflected his ability to capture life’s moments in lyrics and melodies that resonated with everyone who heard them.

Beyond his musical pursuits, Ronnie was known for his wry sense of humour and his ability to turn an ordinary conversation into a memorable exchange through his curious wit, and thoughtful insights.

Ronnie’s family, along with the many fellow musicians with whom he shared countless hours of jamming and performing, will deeply miss his camaraderie and the shared passion for music that brought them together. His absence will be felt at every family gathering and jam session as we fondly remember his talent and vibrant spirit.

The family wishes to extend heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Cambridge Memorial Hospital and the compassionate team at Lisaard House for keeping Ronnie comfortable in his final days.

In keeping with Ronnie’s wishes, cremation has taken place. He will be laid to rest with his mother and sister in the spring of 2026. A celebration of life will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lisaard & Innisfree Hospice in Ronnie’s memory.
