PIERCE, Lorne David Pierce

Passed away peacefully into the arms of his Saviour on Friday January 23rd, 2026 surrounded by his loving family.

Lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Lorne B (Felicia), Chris (Kim), Nick (Danielle), Jessica (Andrew), Mitchell (Stephanie), Isaac (Belle), Aaron (Devon), Joey and Ethan.

He was also blessed with seven great grandchildren. Ariya, Avaline, Abigail, Aiden, Kendra, Michael and Eilidh (with more on the way).

Survived and much loved by his sister Lorna Neuman and in-laws Marilyn Pierce and Jim Brown along with many nephews and nieces.

Predeceased by his parents Lorne and Margaret Pierce, sister Patricia Brown, brother Jack Pierce and brother’s in law Elmer Neumann and Jim Chalmers.

Lorne was born in Essex Ontario and had fond memories of his years on the farm. He met Barb while at bible college and together they served in many churches over the next 21 years. He always called himself more of a bible teacher than preacher and many were blessed by his ministry. Mostly he was known for caring for his family, people in his church and community in practical ways. He always stopped to help someone with a flat tire, brought strangers into the home for a hot meal, helped numerous people with electrical or mechanical problems, and even helped wire some churches in northern Ontario and Manitoba. He was a man of few words, but much heart. You would see him tear up when talking about his family, or his Saviour, and how Jesus had answered his prayers.

Besides being a pastor, he was also an electrician, bus driver, leather crafter, as well as mechanic, carpenter and jack of all trades. To our family he was irreplaceable and will be greatly missed.

The service will be held on January 31st, 2026 at Healing Place Church (Formerly Evangel Pentecostal Church) at 374 Farewell Street, Oshawa, Ontario.
