It is with deep sadness that the family announces the passing of Donald George Pigeon, on Sunday, August 17, 2025 at the age of 88 at Horizon Santé-Nord surrounded by his family. Beloved husband of 58 years to Micheline. Dear father of Roxanne, predeceased in 2007, and Brigitte (Marc). Dear GaPa Don of Alexandre, Nicholas and Éric. Son of Michael and Lucille (Sauvé) Pigeon predeceased. Dear brother of Stella (Ray), Richard (Gail), Norm (Seija) and Robert predeceased in childhood. He is greatly missed by his nephews and nieces. Dear brother-in-law of Marcel (Lynda), Gilles, Gisèle (Jean-Marc), Roger (Helen) and Maurice (Diane) predeceased. Don was a dog lover, driving his motorhome long distances to various dog shows where they presented their champion Pekingese. He loved to entertain the family for hearty meals where he was the ultimate turkey slicer. Photography was his passion. Our social butterfly always had a smile on his face, showing off his beautiful dimples.

The burial has taken place. In accordance with his wishes, there will be no visitation. Please make a spontaneous act of kindness in his memory.

His parents were Michael and Lucille (Sauvé) both predeceased. Dear brother of Stella (Ray), Richard (Gail), Norm, predeceased, (Seija) and Robert, predeceased as a child. He is fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Dear brother-in-law to Marcel (Lynda), Gilles, Gisèle (Jean-Marc) Roger (Helen) and Maurice (Diane) both predeceased. Don was a dog enthusiast, driving the motorhome to distant dog shows where they showed their many Pekingese champions. He loved to host family dinners where he was the turkey carver par excellence. Photography was his passion. Our social butterfly always had a smile for everyone, showing his cute dimples.

Cremation has taken place. In keeping with Don’s wishes, there will be no visitation. Please do an act of random kindness in his memory. Memories and notes of condolence may be shared at Simple Wishes of the North.
