it is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Marie Pilgrim (Menard), A wife, Mother, and adored Nanny, at the age of 67. Marie passed away peacefully on October 26th, surrounded by her loving family. Marie leaves behind a legacy of family devotion, kindness and a love for her Grandchildren as she always described as “They are my every breath”.
She was the beloved wife of Francis Pilgrim. Loving mother of Shawn Pilgrim (Jennifer), Amy-Lynne Taillon (Joey). Cherished grandmother to Carlin, Audrey, Kaylee and Grady. Dear sister of Regent Menard (Sandra), Carole McCutcheon, Francine Menard (Dan), Francoise Valade (late Richard), Gerard Menard (Chantale), Leon Menard, and Lynne Menard.
Marie was predeceased by her parents Beatrice McCabe and step father Albert McCabe and Conrad Menard.
Marie’s family extends a special thank you to Dr. Clara Leigh, and all the staff at Carefor Cornwall Hospice for their kindness and compassion.
Instead of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Cornwall Carefor Hospice in Marie’s memory. As per her wishes, Marie has been cremated, and a graveside committal will take place at a later date. Her care has been entrusted to Wilson Funeral Home, 822 Pitt Street, Cornwall, Ontario.
Marie’s bright smile and sweet laughter will be deeply missed by all who knew her. May she rest in peace.
