PINARD, Roger Marcel Pinard

C’est avec une profonde tristesse que nous annonçons le décès de Roger Marcel Pinard, survenu à l’Hôpital communautaire de Cornwall le mardi 25 novembre 2025, à l’âge de 99 ans. Ancien fondateur de l’atelier de peinture Roger. Époux bien-aimé de feue Pauline Pinard (née Lalonde). Père aimant de Suzanne Pinard (Roland Laplante), Robert Pinard (Luc Fortier), de feu Gilles Pinard (feue Velerie) et de feue Julie Pinard. Grand-père chéri de Rachelle, Daniel, Mario et Natacha et arrière-grand-père de huit arrière-petits-enfants. Il laisse également dans le deuil les familles Bergeron, DeSerres, Amyotte et Drouin, ses nombreux neveux et nièces, ainsi qu’à sa chère amie Ann Robertson. Il est précédé par ses parents, Wilfrid et Anna Pinard (née Fréchette).

Il était un fier vétéran de la Seconde Guerre mondiale, ayant servi son pays avec honneur et un dévouement sans faille. Les expériences et les valeurs qu’il a acquises durant cette période ont profondément marqué sa vie, et il est resté très fier de ce service tout au long de ces années.

Conformément aux souhaits de Roger, il a été incinéré et des funérailles privées auront lieu ultérieurement. En sa mémoire, la famille vous invite à envisager un don à Cornwall Hospice.

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Roger Marcel Pinard at the Cornwall Community Hospital on Tuesday, November 25th, 2025 at the age of 99 years. Former founder of Roger’s Paint Shop. Beloved husband of the late Pauline Pinard (née Lalonde). Loving father of Suzanne Pinard (Roland Laplante), Robert Pinard (Luc Fortier), the late Gilles Pinard (late Velerie) and the late Julie Pinard. Cherished grandfather of Rachelle, Daniel, Mario and Natacha and great-grandfather of 8 great-grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by the Bergeron family, DeSerres Family, Amyotte family, Drouin family, many nieces, nephews and by his dear friend Ann Robertson. He is predeceased by his parents Wilfrid and Anna Pinard (née Fréchette).

He was a proud Second World War veteran, serving his country with honor and steadfast commitment. The experiences and values he carried from that time shaped much of his life, and he remained deeply proud of that service throughout the years.

As per Roger’s wishes cremation has taken place and a private funeral will be held at a later date. In honor of his memory, the family invites you to consider making a contribution to Cornwall Hospice.
