POPE, Marguerite Ann POPE

Peacefully passed on Saturday, October 25, 2025 at the Norfolk General Hospital, Simcoe in her 86th year. Cherished daughter to the late Arthur & Verna Pope (nee Littlewood) & beloved mother to John (Jessica Khan) Yeo, Darren (Andrea Chartrand) Almas, step daughter Karen (Furlem) Biggar & predeceased by her son Michael Yeo. Cherished grandmother to Amber, Jenna, & Noah. Greatly missed by her sister Emily (the late Terry) Van Houtte & predeceased by her sister Joan Elliott. Survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, & family.

Marguerite spent the majority of her life dedicated to raising her three boys. A woman of faith, she understood that her strength came from the Lord & she exemplified that in the life she lived. Committed to others, Marguerite would always remember you by your name; whether that was at the coffee shop or the grocery store, she always made people feel loved. Marguerite knew that the most important thing you could do in your lifetime was hold the ones you love close & trust that God knows what he’s doing- and to take every opportunity to make someone laugh because the hard times don’t last, but your impact on others does.

“He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, & death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.” Revelation 21:4
Marguerite will be laid to rest at Greenwood Cemetery, Waterford on Thursday, November 6th at 11am followed by refreshments at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 123, Waterford. All are welcome to attend.  Memorial donations to Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of your choice will be gratefully appreciated by the family.  Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the JASON SMITH FUNERAL CHAPEL, 689 Norfolk St. N, Simcoe.
