PROULX, Albert Proulx

It is with great sorrow that we announce the peaceful passing of Albert Auguste Proulx on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at the Golden Manor at the age of 95.

He is predeceased by his first wife Lucille (nee Lepage, 1965), his second wife Fernande (nee Groulx, 1993), his children Clement (Danielle), Celine and Gaetan Proulx (Kelly), by his parents Albert and Alberta Proulx and by his siblings Leo (Jeanine), Edgar (Mary), Henri, Alice (Paul), Rose (Jack) and Lucille (René), and Girard (Line).

Albert is survived by his third wife Janine (nee Arel), his children Rejean (June) and Yvan (Barbara). He will be greatly missed by his grandchildren Chelsea, Jean, Gabriel, Lisa, Trudy, Shylo, Dominique and Melanie, by his twelve great-grandchildren and by his siblings Pierre (Aurore), Blanche and Noella.

He leaves behind his step-children Shirley (Jim), Linda (Wayne), late Larry (Darlene), Sylvie (Late Larry), Connie (John), Judy (Jean-Charles), late Simone (Roger), late Claudette (Raymond), late Cecile (late Laurent), Claire (Don), late Gisele (late Stan), Diane (Denis), Denis (Pearl), Mark (Giselle), late Raymond (Marilyn) and late Clement.

Albert was a dedicated provider throughout his long career in mining. His quick wit and sense of humour always gave us laughter.

The family extends a heartfelt thank you to the staff at the Golden Manor for their unwavering care and comfort.

A funeral service will be held on Monday October 20, 2025 at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel, followed by a reception in the LESSARD Reception Centre. The family will receive friends on Monday from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at LESSARD Funeral and Cremation Centre. Remembrance donations to the Golden Manor Resident Services would be greatly appreciated.
