She volunteered extensively within her community, including St. Vincent’s Kitchen in Oshawa, General Sikorski Hall Ladies’ Auxiliary, St. Hedwig’s Church Rosary Circle, and St. Hedwig’s Church Choir. A devoted member of St. Hedwig’s Parish since immigrating to Canada in 1964, her faith and service were central to her life. After emigrating to Canada in 1964, sponsored by her brother Stan and sister Mary, Natalia worked tirelessly, beginning with farm work picking apples, strawberries, and raspberries. In Oshawa, she met and married the love of her life, Jan. They started their family and enjoyed a busy life. She later became a proud retiree of Chrysler, where she worked on the sewing line for 10 years. Natalia had a lifelong love of sewing and needlepoint and generously shared her talents while volunteering with the Tatry Folk Dance Ensemble, caring for costume sewing and embellishments. She was an avid gardener and took great pride in her beautiful garden. A world traveler at heart, Natalia delighted in visiting Hawaii, the Caribbean, with a sincere fondness for Cuba, Europe, and especially returning home to Poland to visit family. Above all, family was the center of Natalia’s world. She treasured every moment spent with her loved ones and especially enjoyed Friday nights making pizza with her grandchildren. A wonderful cook and baker, she shared her gifts not only with her family but with her community as well. Special Thanks to the team at Orchard Villa for their love and caring for Natalia.
