RACINE , Maria Racine (née Malfara)

Maria Racine passed away unexpectedly on Monday, August 18, 2025, at the age of 77. Maria was the wife and best friend of the late Wayne Racine (2021). Daughter of the late Dominic and Vincenza Malfara. Loving and devoted mother to Kris and Kathryn Racine and Kerri and Stewart Nowosad. Unbelievably proud Nonna to Coleton, Quinnton, Brooklyn and Alyse. Dear Sister of Catherine and Orfeo Scodeller, Vito and Rose Malfara, Josephine and Eugene Klymko, Anna Anthony (late Donald) and Adrian Vandenberg and Dominic and Beth Malfara. Dear Sister-in-Law to Gerry and Cathy Racine, late Linda Racine, late Kenneth Racine (Cindy Racine). She will also be remembered and missed by several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Maria was a teacher with the Windsor Es Catholic District School Board then moved on to work at Caesars Windsor where she would eventually retire. Maria was an amazing role model who showed endless love and dedication to her family. She enjoyed hosting delicious family dinners for every occasion to create unforgettable memories. To her grandchildren she was a constant source of love and support, present for every milestone offering guidance, comfort and encouragement. She leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, unwavering kindness and the comforting spirit of home.

Visitation will take place on Sunday August 24th, 2025, from 2 – 4pm and 6 – 8pm at Families First – South Windsor (3260 Dougall Ave.). On Monday August 25th, 2025, visitation will resume from 9:30am until 10am, followed by a service at 10am at Families First – South Windsor (3260 Dougall Ave.). Cremation to follow.

Donations may be made to the Windsor Cancer Center Foundation or Heart & Stroke Foundation Ontario.
