RADDER, Helen Spears Radder

She was born in Chatham Kent on February 21, 1941, to David and Hazel Raddar. She passed away at West Haldimand General Hospital, Hagersville on Sunday, October 5, 2025. Beloved wife of the late Clayton Spears (July 2025). Helen is survived by her son Scott, daughter-in-law Kim, granddaughter Mackenzie, great grandson Thomas. Sister of the late Donna Jean. She was like a second mother to her niece and nephew Nancy and Greg. Helen and Clayton married December 21, 1962 in Wallaceburg, Ontario. They raised one son, Scott David Spears where Helen was always there to support and encourage Scott in sports as well as in his everyday life choices. Helen was an avid volunteer in the community. She shared her gift for teaching as both a dedicated tutor and a passionate music teacher, inspiring those she taught with patience and joy. Friends are invited to call at MILLER FUNERAL CHAPEL, 28 Caithness Street East, Caledonia on Friday, October 10, 2025 from 3 – 7 p.m. Private interment to follow at Cayuga Riverside Cemetery. A celebration of Helen’s life will be held at the Fisherville District Lions Community Centre, 18 Main Avenue West, Fisherville on Sunday, November 9, 2025 from 12-4 pm.
