TOWNSLEY, Ralph Townsley Obituary

TOWNSLEY, Ralph – Passed away at Empress Gardens Peterborough on Friday, October 9, 2015 in his 84th year. 

He is predeceased by his father William John Townsley, and his mother Mary “Pearl” Townsley (nee Gray). 

Ralph will be remembered and missed by his cousins Alvin Townsley, Heather Withers, Dawn Brent, Ruth Anne Hollander, Eileen Gordon, and Mae Day and his close friends Terry Stephens, Craig Barber, Sam Tweedle, Norm Vandenberg, Gilbert Baker, and Lloyd Gaskin.

Ralph was a popular teacher who taught History, English, and Dramatic Arts for 29 years at Norwood District High School.  Ralph had a great interest in Drama and did many school plays as well as parts in Drama/Plays in Peterborough.

Ralph also enjoyed travel, baseball, movies, life and books.

There will be Graveside service held at the Little Lake Cemetery, Haggart St. Peterborough, Ontario on Wednesday, October 14th at 1:00 p.m.  Celebration of Ralph’s Life will follow in the Highland Park funeral centre, 2510 Bensfort Rd., Peterborough from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m.
