RAY, Patricia Mary (Wilson) Ray

Patricia Mary Ray (Wilson) of Port Perry, ON, passed away on April 23, 2025, at the age of 81, after a long battle with lung disease. She died peacefully at Lakeridge Health Port Perry with her family by her side.

Pat was the daughter of Gerard Wilson and Mary Parker (Banfield). She was married to Lorne Ray, who predeceased her in 1990. Mourning her passing are her children Kelly Spencer (Mark) of St. Catharines and Jodi Atkinson (Phil) of Port Perry. She was the cherished Nana of Jocelyn (Matt), Thomas, Caitlyn, and William.

Pat will be dearly missed by her brothers and sisters: Gerry Wilson (Maureen), David Parker (Terry), Tina Parker, Joe Parker (Celine), Stephen Parker, and Kathy Parker. She is also fondly remembered by brothers and sisters-in-law: Stewart Lowry (Patti), Billy Lowry (Carol-Ann), Jean Crawford, Ted Donaldson, and Karen Martin (Richard); as well as her many nieces and nephews, and long-time friends.

Patricia was born in Toronto on May 25, 1943; she was a beautiful baby. As a young woman, she moved to Bancroft with Lorne, whom she first met on a beach in Toronto. After having their two daughters, they built their home and settled in the little town of Cardiff. Pat went back to school at age 43 to earn her RPN diploma, fulfilling a lifelong dream. After Lorne’s passing, she returned to the Toronto area to be closer to her mother and siblings. In 2005, she moved to Port Perry, where she worked at the Manor and provided in-home care to many families. She loved living in Port Perry, as it reminded her of Bancroft.

The family would like to thank the Lakeridge Health Port Perry team, who treated Pat and her family with care and respect. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life in Port Perry will be announced at a later date. Interment will take place at Zion United Church Cemetery in Hybla.
