ROBINS, Raymond Boyd – Devoted Husband, Father, Grandfather, and soon-to-be Great-Grandfather.

Born February 23, 1931 in Niagara Falls, Ontario. Ray passed away peacefully after a short illness, with his family and companion at his side, at the St. Catharines General Hospital on Thursday, December 31, 2015, at the age of 84 years. 

Predeceased by his best friend and dearest wife Holly (Opal), and by parents Elson Rae Robins of Welland and Doris Emily Robins (nee Mugford) of London, England, and brother Gerald William Robins, of Niagara Falls.

Cherished father to daughter Kathryn Lynch (David), and sons Paul Robins (Barbara Yeats), Michael Robins (Roseanna Cunningham). Loving grandfather to grandchildren Vicki Nicholson, Kyle Lynch, Robin Lynch, and Shaun Robins.  Dear sister-in-law of Elsie Robins (Gerald) of Niagara Falls.

Companion and dearest friend to Frances Crabbe of Niagara Falls. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews in the Maritimes.

Ray will be sadly missed by his many friends and neighbours in the Pine Meadows condominiums, where he also served as President of the Condominium board for several terms.

Ray was a Millwright by trade, and retired from General Motors in 1991 after 25 years. 

He went on to spend many exciting and happy years travelling the world, and devoting time to his family and friends. He was a gentleman and a gentle man.

Ray is resting at the Morse & Son Funeral Home, Niagara Falls, Ontario. Family and friends will be received on Friday from 7-9 p.m.

A celebration of Ray’s life will be held at Stamford Lane United Church, 3855 St. Peter Ave., Niagara Falls on Saturday, January 9tjh at 11a.m. Reception to follow at the Church. Interment will follow.

The family wishes to thank the doctors and nurses of Unit 3B at the St. Catharines General Hospital for their care and compassion. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
