MITCHELL, Raymond (Roman Michalowski) Mitchell

MITCHELL, Raymond (Roman Michalowski)  –  Born in Horodnytsia, Ukraine, on July 18, 1927, passed away on May 1, 2023, in Etobicoke.

He was the cherished husband of Christine for 69 years; and beloved father to Adrienne (Ian) and Eric (Todd).

In 1931, he immigrated to Canada with his mother, Anna, where they joined her husband and Ray’s father, Isadore, settling in Sudbury and later moving to Toronto.

Ray attended law school at Osgoode Hall, and in 1960 was called to the Bar.

He was a co-founder and senior member of the Mitchell, Bardyn & Zalucky law firm, and retired from practice as a 50-year lifetime member of the Law Society.

Ray was a patron member of the St. Demetrius Ukrainian Catholic Parish in Etobicoke.

Resting at Newediuk Funeral Home, Kipling Chapel, 2058 Kipling Ave., Toronto, on Sunday, May 7, 2023, from 4 – 8 p.m. Panakhyda on Sunday, 7 p.m.

Funeral service will be celebrated in the funeral home chapel on Monday, May 8, 2023, at 10:30 a.m.
