He was predeceased by: his parents, Gordon Rayner and Edith Picket; his siblings, Phyllis Rayner, Bob Rayner and Dave Rayner; his brother-in-law Keenan Willoughby; and his parents-in-law, Carl and Betty Anne Hiltz.

He is survived by: his wife Sandy; his children, Heather and Ben; his siblings, Nancy Willoughby, Gordon Rayner (Gwen), Kenneth Rayner (Debbie), Clifford Rayner (Rhonda) and Mary Kirkimtzis; and his in-laws, Garlene Rayner, Bill, Karen Hiltz, Gary and Patti Martin. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, extended family members and close friends.

Visitation was held on Thursday, January 8th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home (171 King St S, Waterloo, ON N2J1P7). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 10th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home Chapel (171 King St S, Waterloo, ON N2J1P7). A reception will be held on Saturday, January 10th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home (171 King St S, Waterloo, ON N2J1P7).
