REANEY, Margaret Reaney

Survived by Christopher and Michelle Reaney. Beloved cousin to Dorothy and her daughter Kathleen (Gordon). Dear friends that she chose as her family, Jane, Lorraine, Sue, Joan, Christine, Maureen, Jackie, Bonita and Wilma.

Margaret navigated MS for over 45 years, she faced each day with Grace, living everyday to the fullest, while managing a progressive, increasingly disabling illness. MS did not define her, she was involved in her community, as a mature student she went back to school to earn her Social Worker Degree from Ryerson Polytechnical Institute in 1988.

Margaret loved Opera, Classical Music and hosting parties and pot lucks with her friends, which always ended with a yummy dessert. During the last six years at her Nursing Home she was involved with the Food Council and was Vice President of the Residence Council. Margaret was always grateful to Dianne and her Amazing Recreation Team for always creating a variety of activities within and outside the facility (she loved a road trip). She was thankful for St. Francis de Sales Parish for coming to the home and providing Margaret with spiritual guidance.

There will be no funeral at this time, cremation has taken place, a grave side service will thappen in the Spring in Collingwood, she will be placed to rest with her parents in the Walsh family plot.
