RENWICK,Linda Claire Renwick
Born in Toronto on November 25, 1943, Linda Claire Renwick (née Gordon) passed away peacefully on December 2, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was the cherished daughter of (Bud) G.W.E. and Lyle Gordon, the beloved wife of Bill Lawson, and the late John C. Renwick (2000).

Linda was an extraordinary woman who made time for everyone and always put others ahead of herself. Her generosity, warmth, and natural ability to make people feel welcome were the hallmarks of her life. These qualities made her a remarkable wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.

She will be lovingly remembered by her children, David (Michelle) Renwick, Jill (Ross) Tyndall, and Shari (Eric) Taferner, and forever adored by twelve grandchildren: Matthew, Michael, and James Renwick; Owen and Jack Tyndall; Hannah Taferner; Paige and Brooke Macaulay; Terra and Zoe Rae; and Michael and Emma Roskar. She was also a devoted sister to Karen (Brian Crabbe) and a cherished aunt to many nieces and nephews. Linda was predeceased by her brothers, Jim and Ted Gordon. She will be deeply missed by the Lawson family-Terri Lawson; Christine (Vince Rae); and Joseph (Michelle Hooper) and by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Linda embraced life with curiosity and enthusiasm, including discovering a love for golf later in life. Whether on the course or surrounded by the people she cherished most, she brought joy and a spirit of togetherness wherever she went. Linda formed many treasured friendships over her lifetime, beginning with her years training and working as an X-ray technician. She held a deep affection for cottage country, particularly Karbehuwe, where countless family memories were made. In later years, her winters spent in Venice, Florida brought her great joy and expanded her circle of friends even further. Oakville was her home for many decades, and although friends often moved over the years, the enduring bonds she formed remained strong, no matter the distance.

One of Linda’s greatest gifts was her ability to create a sense of belonging. Her home was always open, especially during the lively years of her children’s activities and ever-expanding friend groups. She loved being part of the fun, getting to know everyone, and making each person, without exception, feel included. Her warmth, humour, and radiant smile tied people together in ways that will be remembered forever.

The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude for the exceptional and compassionate care Linda received throughout her illness. Her oncology team at the Juravinski Cancer Centre- especially Dr. Levine and Nurse Colleen- provided extraordinary support, as did the many doctors and nurses at Hamilton Health Sciences who showed such kindness and dedication. The family is deeply grateful for the warmth, tenderness and ongoing care of Dr. Parbal Sidhu, whose presence brought great comfort. In her final days, the staff and volunteers at Ian Anderson House cared for Linda with remarkable gentleness, helping her find peace and comfort. The family will be forever thankful for the compassion received by all who assisted Linda in her journey.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Road West, Oakville (one block East of Kerr Street), from 2–4 p.m. and 7-9 pm.
