RETTINGER, Alice Agnes Rettinger

It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of Alice Rettinger, at the Brantford General Hospital, on Friday February 20, 2026, at the age of 96. Loving wife and soulmate of George (deceased) for 69 years, they shared a true love story. Loving and devoted Mom to Diane Hammer, Carol Beaver (the late Paul), and Cathy Rettinger. Loving and doting Grandma/Nana to Paul, Ashley, Sabrina, Nick, and Chris. Great Grandma to Evan, Ryan, William, Evolette, Olivia and Francesca. She was predeceased by special fur baby Pepper. Alice was a faithful member of the Glen Morris United Church.

She was the root of our family’s foundation. Her love for us was unconditional and forever. She was our comforter extraordinaire. She always encouraged and supported us. Alice had many passions, including knitting, making puzzles, baking, dancing, roller skating, country music, and gardening. She was co-owner of Glen Morris General Store for many years with George.

Funeral arrangements entrusted to the Dwayne D. Budgell Funeral Home Ltd. In accordance with Alice’s expressed wishes, a private Family Service will be held. A video recording of the service will be posted on the Funeral Home website and will be available on Tuesday February 24, 2026, in the evening. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Alice’s memory to either Glen Morris United Church or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
