GOLEC, Richard John   – On June 9, 2023, Richard John Golec, age 74, of Brampton, Ontario, passed away peacefully at home, with his family at his side.

Richard is survived by his loving wife, Linda (née Paspalis); his son, Daniel; his daughter-in-law, Janice; and his grandchildren, Sebastian, Allister, Jasper and Eva.

Richard was predeceased by his son, Matt; his parents, Stanley and Mary; and his brother, Ted.

He enjoyed a career as a civil engineer until his retirement in 2013.

At that time, he turned his focus and energy to golf, gardening and being a proud papa to his grandchildren.

Please join us for a memorial service in his honour.

Visitation will take place on Saturday, July 8, 2023, from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m., with a memorial service from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at Brampton Funeral Home & Cemetery, Arbor Memorial, 10061 Chinguacousy Rd., Brampton. Reception to follow.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, contributions to Mt. Sinai or to the Canadian Cancer Society be made in Richard’s name.
