GOTTFRIED, Richard Walter Gottfried

Passed away on February 10, 2024 at the age of 83.

He was visiting his wife at Milton District Hospital, holding her hand when he departed this life.

Richard was a devoted husband to Joan and faithful brother to Theresa, Charles (Judi), Raymond (Betty-Anne) and Carmen (late Wendy).

He was loved by his children Jeff, Kim (Norbert) and Scott (Raheela); adored by his grandchildren Mary Bianca, Clara Magdalen and Amber.

Predeceased by his parents Adam and Magdalen Gottfried (née Schnerch), Richard was a dear uncle to many nieces and nephews and will be fondly remembered by his aunts, uncles and cousins.

Richard’s love and generosity was evident in the way that he and Joan cared for one other and their entire family, as well as through their countless charitable acts towards others.

Family invites you to join them at Holy Cross Catholic Funeral Home (211 Langstaff Road East, Thornhill), on Friday, February 23, 2024, for a Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. in the Chapel (within the Funeral Home). Reception to follow.
