WHITE, Richard Thomas White Obituary

WHITE, Richard Thomas – (June 27, 1945 – October 8, 2015) – It is with great sadness that we announce the death of our husband, father, and friend, Richard, peacefully at home and surrounded by the people who loved him during the early hours of October 8th, 2015.

Predeceased by his parents, Albert and Jean (Payne) White. He will be greatly missed by his daughters, Adrienne and Michelle, and his brother Gary White (Beverly). He will also be missed dearly by his loving wife Sue Warman, her children Paul and Laurie (Mike), and her grandchildren Jack and Ben, as well as many friends and colleagues.

Richard was a lover of books and poetry, and had great knowledge of world history. He was an incredibly hard-working individual who enjoyed meaningful conversation, cracking a good joke, and captivating his friends and family with stories of his youth.

He also had a passion for motorcycles, which he built and restored over the years after a successful racing career in the 1970’s.

Up to the time of Richard’s illness, he and Sue ran a popular B&B, where he met new friends and entertained people from all over the world.

We are so grateful for the wonderful care and support provided by Barb & the other nurses at Carefor. We would also like to thank Dr. El Sayed, Dr. Jonker, and nurse Martha who helped Richard through his journey.

Friends and family are invited to a Celebration of Life to be held at 1235 Royal Maple Dr., Ottawa, Ontario Saturday, November 7th from 1 – 4pm.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Carefor Health & Services.
