It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved John Richmond, who left us on Wednesday September 24 in the City of London, Ontario at Victoria Hospital, in his 78th year.
John was born on April 21, 1947, in Chatham, Ontario and lived a life marked by kindness, dedication to friends and family, and a had sense of humour that touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

John grew up in London, Ontario and attended South Secondary High School. Both John and his brother Chuck excelled at high school football and legend has him scoring four touchdowns in one football game—or so it was told. After high school John completed a Bachelor’s of Science at Western University where he met his lifelong friend Jim Warren.
His working career was spent as a Foreman at T. W. Johnstone, in London, for over 25 years.
In his downtime, John enjoyed curling, traveling and golfing with friends. He was an avid fan of relaxing with a few NFL games on a Sunday afternoon.

Last Call
I’m not dying, I’m just moving. My bar will still be open, just in another location. I’ll keep my eye open…for someday, in the distant future, I know that you’ll find my bar again. And drop in for a drink…
I will say my farewell, but I will not say goodbye. “Here’s lookin’ at you, Kid,” with a tear in my eye. Because to die, by definition, is life you lose. And this life is so tightly wrapped within me, that I’m taking it along, wherever that may be.
So, you see, this isn’t goodbye, not at all. So, I ask you to raise your glasses; stand tall, CHEER the life that I’ve had and celebrate This Bar’s Last Call.
