BUCK, Robert “Bob” George Buck

BUCK, Robert “Bob” George  – Bob was born in Toronto on August 31, 1929, son of George F. Buck and A. Myrtle Buck (née Marshall).

He died peacefully on July 7, 2023, in his 94th year, after a short battle with cancer.

Bob spent 51 happy years with his wife, Mary (deceased, August 23, 2021).

Their favourite pastimes were golfing and birding, which led to much travel.

Bob’s career spanned 42 years with Crown Life, the Ontario Government, and Foster Higgins Consultants. Bob and Mary were longtime and active members of Lorne Park Estates.

They also spent many happy summers at Toronto Island (Ward’s), where Bob’s grandmother had built a cottage on her original tenting site.

Bob had a sister, Phyllis (deceased 2021); and two brothers, Al (deceased 2013) and Ron (deceased 2011).

He also leaves his sisters-in-law, Catherine Buck and Betty Lou Buck (Matthew); and several nieces, nephews and cousins (including Mary’s English cousins, with whom she had kept in touch).
