MURPHY, Robert ‘Bob’ John  – After a lengthy illness, Bob, a longtime resident of Brampton passed away at the age of 79 on December 27, 2015.

Predeceased by his loving wife Diane Murphy and sister Sharon Smith.

Father to Wanda (Bill), Wayne (Alison) and Wendy (Linda).

Grandpa to Andrew (Lisa), Grant, Owen and Tristan.

Bob was a Machine Shop Teacher with Central Peel Secondary School for many years.

He shared the enjoyment of travel and gardening with his wife.

Bob volunteered much of his time with multiple organizations over the years; connected to municipal politics, Ontario Secondary School Teachers’ Federation, retired teachers, gardening societies, the Ontario Educational Credit Union and St. Bartholomew’s United Church.

A service will be held at St. Bartholomew’s United Church, 22 Abbey Road, Brampton, on Thursday, December 31, 2015 at 2 p.m., with reception to follow.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Carcinoid NETS Cancer (www.cnetscanada.org) or London Health Sciences Foundation.
