WOOD, Robert “Bob” Bruce  – 50-plus year Member of Schomberg Union Masonic Lodge, Past Master, Member of Rameses Shriners, Grand Lodge of Canada, and the Aurora Viking Shrine Club, Federal Meat Inspector for Government of Canada for 31 years, and former Member of Schomberg United Church.

Peacefully, with family by his side at Southlake Regional Health Centre, Newmarket, on July 7, 2023.

Bob Wood, longtime resident of Schomberg, Ontario, at the age of 87 years.

Beloved husband of the late Kathleen “Kay” Wood (née Sanderson). Loving father of Bruce Wood (Stephanie Vicari) and Colleen Davidson (Bill Frisque).

Beloved grandfather of Hannah (Bailey), Laura, Shane, Tonia and Omega; and dear great-grandfather of William.

Sadly missed by his siblings, Reta Davidson (Lloyd), Ida Muegge (the late Alan), Roxie Smitges (the late George), Len (Rejeanne), Muriel Osborne (Darryl); and predeceased by the late John (the late Elaine), the late Alvin (the late Evelyn) and the late Sam (Nancy). Special friend for many years of Donna Martin.

Forever in the hearts of his nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

The family will receive friends at Rod Abrams Funeral Home, 1666 Tottenham Rd., Tottenham, on Monday, July 17, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. until time of Memorial Service in the chapel at 11:00 a.m. Interment in Schomberg.

A Masonic Service will be held at 9:45 a.m. prior to visitation.

Donations in Bob’s memory to Southlake Regional Health Care Centre ICU would be appreciated by the family.
