ROBERTS, Nancy Jean Roberts
January 12, 1942 - October 3, 2025
With deep sadness and eternal love, we announce the passing of Nancy Jean Roberts at Soldier’s Memorial Hospital in Orillia on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at the age of 83.
Nancy was so much more than a loving wife and mother – she was a force of nature. The beloved wife and partner of Neil Roberts, and proud mom to her daughters, Susanne Resar (and her husband, Stephen Resar) and Kim Bradley. She was the kind of woman whose love was loud, whose opinions were louder, and whose loyalty knew no limits. She lived her life with passion, grit, and joy.
To her grandchildren, she was known by many names – “Grandma Jo” to Travis, Samantha, and Zach, “Nini” to Bianca and Sebastian, and later “Cha-Cha” to Savannah and Carter. Each name held a special piece of her heart, and she wore every one of them with pride.
Nancy’s love extended far beyond blood. She grew up surrounded by a large family, and throughout her life, she built deep and lasting friendships. Whether at the rodeo alongside Neil or with her community at the local gym, Nancy drew people in. Her energy was magnetic. Her laughter, unforgettable.
Strong-willed, bold, funny, and never afraid to speak her mind, Nancy was someone who fought – for herself, for her family, and for her life. After receiving a double lung transplant a decade ago, she faced every new challenge with defiance and fire. She battled through more than most could endure, and still, she found reasons to sing, to dance, and to laugh. She loved life with everything she had – even when life gave her every reason to stop.
She will be missed more deeply than words can express, but her spirit, strength, and love will remain with us always.
Cremation has been entrusted to Low & Low Funeral Home, Uxbridge. A private family celebration of life will be held at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Ajmera Transplant Centre at Toronto General Hospital (UHN Foundation) would be deeply appreciated by the family.
