ROBINSON, Sheila Ann –
June 16, 1950 – July 15, 2024
Sheila Robinson passed away recently at the Toronto General Hospital after a brief illness at the age of 74 years. Sheila had a difficult birth which resulted in a learning disability.
At nearby St. Clement’s Church, Sheila attended the Wednesday lunch program and was known for her caring and unique way of connecting with the volunteer staff, who supported her and treated her as a family member.
She also attended the nearby Salvation Army North Toronto Community Church for many years and stayed in touch with friends she made there.
Sheila was very attentive to her relatives and friends, and sent cards on birthdays, anniversaries and at Christmas.
Sheila was predeceased by her mother, Dr. Roberta Robinson (nÊe Noble, 1969), by her father, Dr. Clarence Robinson (1992), and by her brother Dr. Bruce Robinson (2017).
She is survived by her eight cousins in B. C. and Toronto.
The family would like to thank Sheila’s sister-in-law Krysia and many others for the support that they gave Sheila over the years. These include her friends Christine, Rudy and their children James, Jacob and Daniel, her friend Janet, Krysia’s sister Laura and husband Jean-Guy, and friends Karin and Karol.
The family would like to thank the medical team at Toronto General Hospital who cared for her in her last days. Sheila was also looked after for many years by Dr. S. M. Goldhar and Dr. J. A. Rutka, and their care was appreciated.
Cremation has taken place. At a later date, interment will take place at Park Lawn Cemetery, Toronto, where Sheila’s parents are buried.
