ROBINSON, Stephen Robinson
November 22, 1932 - September 20, 2025
Passed away peacefully on September 20, 2025, in Gananoque, at the age of 92. Stephen has finally been reunited with his loving wife, Marilyn Robinson (nee Kirkwood), whom he cherished with all his heart. He is survived by his loving children, Stephanie (David), Angela (Tim), Tanya, and Bryant, and grandchildren Danielle, Connor, Hailey, Makayla, and Cassandra.
Born in Toronto to Marjorie May Conners and William Cullen Bryant Robinson, Stephen is also predeceased by his sisters Beverley Bearcroft and Judith Watson, sister-in-laws Betty Kinch (George), Norma Horricks (Ken), Joan Typhair (Art), and brother-in-laws Billy and Wallace Kirkwood (Dorothy). He will be lovingly remembered by sister-in-law Shirley Wright (Jim) and his nieces and nephews.
For thirty years, Stephen was a devoted teacher at Gananoque Secondary School and will be fondly remembered by his colleagues with whom he formed lifelong friendships, and his former students, many of whom he developed friendships with during his later years. Upon retirement, he and Marilyn enjoyed many summers at the family cottage and loved to entertain family and friends. Stephen was a gifted artist and pianist, and a passionate admirer of classical music and history.
Stephen will be remembered by his children as being a loving, devoted, and giving husband, father, and grandfather with immense intelligence, beautiful blue eyes, a big heart, and an amazing sense of humor which remained with him until his final days. His smile would light up a room.
Stephen’s children would like to thank the staff in the Memory Care Unit at Fox Run by the River for their exceptional care, compassion, and support during their Dad’s journey with dementia. You are all heroes.
