ROCCHIO, Pasquale Rocchio
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Pasquale Rocchio, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, friend and mentor, who passed away peacefully on July 23, 2025, at the age of 84.

Born in Italy on January 19, 1941, to Domenico and Caterina Rocchio, Pasquale built a life defined by integrity, hard work, and unwavering devotion to his family. After immigrating to Canada in 1959 with his mother Caterina, he dedicated over 39 years to General Motors, followed by 10 years in the automotive parts consulting industry, where his expertise in quality control and strong work ethic left a lasting impression.

Pasquale was the cherished husband of Maddalena, with whom he shared a lifetime of love, laughter and travel. He was a proud and devoted father to Domenic and Katherine, and a loving nonno to Rosalie, Patrick, and Michael, who brought him endless joy.

A personable and caring man, Pasquale was known for his sharp wit, love of storytelling, and warm sense of humour. He found joy in gardening, watching and discussing soccer, and listening to music, often filling the house with melody and laughter. He also loved spending time with family and lifelong friends that included a weekly card game at The Oshawa Italian Club. Yet above all, family was his greatest passion — a value he instilled deeply in those around him.

He often reminded his loved ones, “You don’t have anything if you don’t have family.” These words remain a guiding light for all who knew him.

Pasquale’s memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends, whose lives were enriched by his kindness, strength, and spirit.
