Gary Frederick Rock, passed away peacefully with family by his side at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on Saturday, May 10, 2025 in his 85th year. Gary, loving husband of Sharon of 56 years. Caring father of Christian (Fiona), Tyler (Julie) and Naseem. Proud Grandfather of Brayden (Katy), Madisyn (Tristan), Ashton, Cohen, Hudson, Leah and Mathilda. Dear brother of Marilyn (Glen), Elaine (Nick), John (Evelyn) and the late Jim (survived by Joanne) and Greg (survived by Lori). Predeceased by his parents Jim and Evelyn Rock. Gary will be lovingly remembered by his nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Gary’s eclectic music taste kept a song always playing. A gifted salesman, he could sell honey to a bee. He loved diving into politics, history, conspiracy theories, and true crime and cheering on The Leafs. He traveled widely but cherished “The Island,” the birthplace of his beloved wife.

Family and friends will be received at Mount Lawn Funeral Home & Cemetery, 21 Garrard Road, Whitby (North of Hwy 2) 647-490-5853 on Tuesday, May 20, 2025 from 1 pm until the time of service in the chapel at 2:30 pm.
Interment Mount Lawn Cemetery.
