CHUNG, Roderick Cecil  –

May 2, 1940 – March 18, 2024

Passed away unexpectedly during the evening of Monday, March 18, 2024, after a courageous battle the last two years with cancer.

Loving and deeply devoted husband of Lilian, for 61 years.

Caring father of daughter, Anne Marie and son, Cary. Grandfather to Cody and Jared.

Predeceased by his wife Lilian, earlier that same morning.

Predeceased by his parents, Victor Chung and Breletah Chin; as well as his siblings, eldest brother, Fitzie, and younger siblings, Winston and David. He is survived by his younger siblings, Maurice, Lloyd and Carl. Roderick will be missed by his brothers and many cousins and extended family members, and all his friends he made during his time on this earth.

There will be a combined Catholic Funeral service on Tuesday, April 16, 2024, at 11 a.m,. at the St. Ignatius Loyola Church, 2300 Burnhamthorpe Road West, Mississauga.

Roderick’s family would like to thank the entire nursing staff in Section 3H Chemo treatment at Credit Valley Hospital, as well as all the physicians who treated him during his cancer fight.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Credit Valley Hospital – Carlo Fidani Cancer Centre.
