RODGERS, Barbara Greta Rodgers

Surrounded by loving family, Barb left our earthly realm on Friday February 27, 2026 in her 98th year; her spirit remains with us.  “Our Mum touched so many lives with her loving hugs and wisdom.  Her feet carried her far and her strength is to be admired.  She was there for everyone, whether it be with a hot cup of tea, a listening ear, a life lesson, or maybe a good heartfelt scolding when needed (you know who you are).  Mum was a creative soul, with many interests and a deep love for music and the arts.  Her garden was her sanctuary, her healing hands always reaching for those in need of ‘tending’.”

Barb was the loving wife of the late Raymond Rodgers (d. 1965).  Dear mother of Carol Williams (Neil) of Black Diamond, Alberta, Catherine Ireland (the late Charles) of Cordova, Robert Rodgers (Karen) of Hastings, Christina MacIntyre (Alan) of Havelock, Colleen Ireland (the late Bud) of Norwood and James Rodgers (Jayne) of Norwood.  Lovingly remembered by 18 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.  Predeceased by her parents Arthur and Alfreda Jones.  Relatives and friends are invited to share in an Irish Wake – a time of remembrance, music and fellowship at THE HENDREN FUNERAL HOMES, NORWOOD CHAPEL, 36 Queen Street, Norwood on Thursday March 5, 2026 from 4:00 – 8:00 PM.  Funeral service will be held in the chapel on Friday March 6, 2026 at 11:00 AM followed by interment at Asphodel-Norwood Cemetery.  A reception for all will follow at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 300, Norwood. Donations in memorial may be made to Five Counties Children’s Centre, Peterborough.
