BARTOK, Ronald Leslie  – On March 5, 2024, at the age of 81, Ron passed away peacefully, at Hennick Bridgepoint Hospital after a long and valiant battle with cancer.

Born in Toronto to Anne and Steve Bartok; Ron is survived by his brother, Stephen (Penny); sister, Susan (Paul); and his children, Sarah, Ivon, and Claire (Rob).

Ron attended Western Tech and later pursued a Bachelor of Arts with Honours at York University.

After Teachers College, he had a fulfilling 30-plus year career with the Toronto District School Board.

Ron’s dedication to his students was unwavering, and he held a special affection for Winona Drive Public School, where he also coached boys’ basketball.

As a father, Ron was a pillar of support and encouragement, his infectious humour bringing joy and laughter to his childrens’ lives. He took immense pride in their achievements and cherished every moment spent together.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Hennick Bridgepoint Palliative Care Unit and Dr. Li of Michael Garron Hospital for their compassionate care and guidance.

In accordance with Ron’s wishes, no funeral will be held.
