SAUKAS, Ronald Michael  –

February 17, 1950 – July 17, 2023

Passed away peacefully, at Markham Stouffville Hospital on July 17, 2023, at the age of 73.

Ron was a loving husband to Mary Saukas (née Melnyk); a proud father to Breanna Saukas; brother to Linda Saukas (John); brother-in-law to Stephan Melnyk (Line); uncle to Evan Melnyk (Christina, Stella, Henry); and nephew to Peter Saukas.

Ron was a friend to many, and truly loved by all. While he will be greatly missed, he will also be remembered for his kindness, sense of humour, and the great love he had for his family.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 23, 2023, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Highland Funeral Home-Markham (10 Cachet Woods Ct., Markham). A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 24, 2023, from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. at Holy Eucharist Ukrainian Catholic Church (515 Broadview Ave., Toronto).
