ROSE, Mary Rose

We’re heartbroken to share that Louise (Mary) Rose passed away on November 20th, 2025, at the age of 70. She leaves behind a lifetime of memories, laughter, and love.

Louise was born on August 22nd, 1955, in Edson, Alberta, to Mike and Mary Sukovieff. She was a mother, grandmother, sister, auntie, and a good friend to many, and she’ll always be remembered for her great laugh, warm smile, and the way she made people feel at home.

For more than 20 years, she was a proud member of the Army & Navy in Kelowna, a place where she made many friendships and shared countless good times.

Louise lived her life with kindness, quiet strength, and a deep devotion to her family. She had a big heart, a quick smile, and an incredible knack for showing up exactly when someone needed her. Whether she was cooking a favorite meal or enjoying a simple chat over coffee, she had a way of turning ordinary moments into something special.

Her family was everything to her—especially her granddaughter Payton, who was truly the center of her world. The love and pride she had for her was clear every single day.

Louise is survived by her son Scott and his wife Lana, her beloved granddaughter Payton, daughters Melissa and Krystal, brother Len and his wife Sandy, sisters-in-law Gloria, Darlene, Judy (and husband Al), and Louise ( and husband Hart) along with many nieces and nephews—and a whole circle of people who lovingly called her “Grandma.”

She is preceded in death by her father Mike, mother Mary, her son Shane, brothers Joe and Danny, sisters Bev and Ann, and her husband Raymond Rose.

A celebration of Louise’s life will be held on January 17th at the Lakeview Heights Community Centre located at 860 Alders Rd, West Kelowna, at 1:00 pm. Friends and family are warmly invited to come together, share stories, and honor a life so beautifully lived.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to the BC Children’s Hospital.

Louise (Mary) Rose will be deeply missed, but her legacy of love, strength, and kindness will continue to shine in the lives of everyone who knew her.
