ROSS , Katharine Hazel Ross

Katharine Hazel (Lees) Ross (b. 1921) quietly passed away in her sleep on August 23, 2025 in Oshawa. She is predeceased by her loving husband Wallace Hastings (Bill) Ross, her daughters Katharine Ross and Patricia (Ross) French. She is predeceased by her brothers Colin and Richard, and her sister Maxine. Katharine was the adored Grandma of Jennifer Kay French (Jonathan Arnold), and Steven Ross French (Seth Carter). She is survived by son-in-law Alan French (Emily); nieces Annabelle Lees (Michael), Becky Lees Clarke; nephews Gordon Lees (Bonnie), David Wark (Echo), Laird Ross, John Lees, and Richard Lees; and cousins Lorna (Lees) Humphries, Jesmond (Rowden) Lees, Nathan Pack (Trish), Juliana Guth (Andrew) and many friends and family.

Katharine was born in Summerland, BC to her cherished mother Anna Reed (Hayes) Lees and dad Colin Waters Lees. She was a long-time resident of Lindsay, Midland, Markdale and later, Peterborough, Ontario. Her favourite memories come from summers at Stoney Lake. She enjoyed living in Oshawa close to family in recent years. She was a spirited and loving woman who will be terribly missed.

The family extends heartfelt thanks to the excellent and caring staff at Hillsdale Estates Long-Term Care Home in Oshawa.

Arrangements entrusted to Oshawa Funeral Home, with service to be held Saturday August 30, 2025 at Ebenezer United Church in Courtice at 1:30 p.m., reception to follow.
