Mrs. Mary Ann Rothery,Β a resident of Port Lambton, passed away Monday, December 1, 2025 at Chatham Kent Health Alliance βChathamβ at the age of 95.
Mary was born in Wallaceburg, on Duke Street, two houses down from the Moose Lodge, daughter of the late Johannes and Magdalena (DeMoor) Bogaert.
Beloved wife of the late John Rothery.
Loving mother of Debbie (Doug) Verbeem, Sally (Dennis) Skinner and Susan (Tim) Murphy.
Dear grandmother of Jody; Nicki, Stacey and Matthew; Megan and Mackenzie plus great grandmother to Ava; Olivia; Cecelia and Matilda.
Mary was predeceased by her two sisters Bertha (Louis) Floin and Anna Sheffer.
Mary was a dedicated, active member of theΒ St. James Anglican ChurchΒ in Wallaceburg. She was a generous, charitable person with a genuine love for others and a strong faith in God. She cherished her many friends and neighbours over the years, travelled some but always enjoyed returning to her cozy home on the St. Clair River.
The late Mary Rothery rested at the Eric F. Nichollβs Funeral Home Ltd. 639 Elgin St., Wallaceburg, before her wishes of cremation took place on Thursday, December 4th, 2025.
Family and friends are invited to a funeral visitation on Friday December 12, 2025 from 10-11 a.m. at the St. James Anglican Church. A Funeral Service celebration is to follow at 11a.m. from the church.
Internment of ashes will take place atΒ Riverview Cemetery,Β 1050 Wallace St., Wallaceburg at a date to be determined.
As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Salvation Army or the St. James Anglican Church may be left at the funeral home.
