ROWE, Alan ‘Big Al’ Rowe

It is with heavy hearts, the family of Alan Rowe, announce his passing on September 9, 2025 at Lakeridge Health Bowmanville, with his daughters by his side, at the age of 66.

Devoted father of Clare Dobbs and her husband Shaun and Julieann Hayes and her husband Taylor. Cherished grandfather of Liam, Owen, Aiden, and Nathaniel. Will be missed by his brother Steven (Mandy) and his brother-in-law Les. Predeceased by his sisters Joan and Irene and his brother-in-law Cliff.

Alan was a proud and long-time member of the Durham Celtic Club, where he formed many lasting friendships and shared many good times. Away from the club, he found joy in life’s simple pleasures – spending time fishing, cooking meals to share with family, and enjoying a round of golf.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 14, 2025 from 1-4 p.m. at Armstrong Funeral Home (124 King St. E., Oshawa). A Celebration of Life will follow from 5-8 p.m. at the Durham Celtic Club (110 Ash St., Whitby).
