RUTETZKI, Anna Z. (nee Sarkotich) – It is deep sadness that the family of Anna Rutetzki announces her sudden passing on January 1st, 2016 with family by her side at the age of 88.
Predeceased by her parents Stephen and Anna Sarkotich of South Porcupine, as well as brother John Sarkotich.
Also predeceased in 2007 by her husband of 58 years Harrison Rutetzki.
Forever loved by her children Louise (Shawn) Healey of Brandon, Manitoba, Mark (Dihianna) Rutetzki of the Dominican Republic, and Carol (Roman) Borowski of Kirkland Lake. Remembered dearly by her grandchildren Ian (Tenille), Miranda (Jared), Sarah (Scott), Tiffany (Justin), April (Bryan), Jessica (Rolf) and Christopher. She leaves behind her precious great-grandchildren Anne, Brighdie, Harrison and Seth.
Anna also leaves to mourn her sisters Mary Stanasic of Welland, and Katherine Markiewicz of South Porcupine, as well as sister-in-law Lillian (Terry) Newman of Barrie. Forever remembered by many cousins, nieces, nephews and dear friends.
Anna was born and raised in South Porcupine where she met her husband Harrison. As loving wife and devoted mother, their life together led them to Elliot Lake, Manitouwadge, Malartic, and Kirkland Lake.
In retirement they also made many fond memories wintering in Seminole Florida, where they enjoyed golfing and visits from their family. Anna’s greatest joy was taking care of and lovingly supporting her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed knitting, writing beautiful letters, and a friendly game of cards.
Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, January 8th, 2016 at 11:30 a.m. from Holy Name of Jesus Parish with Father Mitch Sliwa officiating.
