SAARINEN, Andrew John “Drew” passed suddenly after a brief illness, on Thursday June 19th, 2025, at the young age of 53 at Lakeridge Health Oshawa with his family by his side. Beloved husband to Denise Coughlin. Cherished father of Cole and Alyssa (mother, Julie Michaels). Adored son of John (Tracy) Saarinen and Linda (Dennis) Hutchinson. Dear brother of Krista (Wesley McDonald). Fun-loving uncle to Kaylee (Troy) Pemberton, Karina, Rory and one great-nephew on the way. Much loved son-in-law of Wilma and Wayne Coughlin. Drew will be missed deeply by all his friends and family.

A great partner in life as well as business, Drew was the proud founder of Peak Communications which he operated alongside Denise.

Drew will be remembered for his warm heart, quick wit, and the gentle way he touched the lives of those around him. Whether through his work as a dedicated business owner, his passion for cross-country skiing, coaching soccer, making memories at the camp in Sudbury, or the love he poured into time with family, Drew’s legacy lives on in all who knew him.

A celebration of life come and go will be held in the Sharp Memorial Hall at St. Matthew’s Anglican Church, 135 Wilson Rd S, Oshawa ON, L1H 6B9 on Saturday July 5th between 2 pm and 5 pm. If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
