SAFAR, Elias Hanna Safar

July 19, 1927 - February 3, 2026

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Elias Hanna Safar who passed away peacefully on February 3, 2026, at the age of 98.

He is now reunited in heaven with his beloved wife Angel. Cherished father of Pierre (Susan), Clair, Hilda (George) and Jonny (Patricia). Dear grandfather of Rocchina (Rio), Christina (Adamo), Jenny, Angela (Daniel), Elias B., Susy (Francesco), Linda, Mario, and Elias S. Loving great-grandfather of Lucas Antonio, Nicholas, Marcus, Mia, Alessandro, Leonardo, Daniel Jr., Amira, Selena and Julian. Elias will be dearly missed by his extended family and friends.

Relatives and friends are welcomed for visitations at Bernardo Funeral Home (2960 Dufferin St., south of Lawrence Ave. W.) on Sunday, February 8, 2026 from 2 – 4 & 6 – 8 p.m. and Monday, February 9, 2026 from 5 – 9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be celebrated at Bernardo Funeral Homes on Tuesday, February 10, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. Elias will then be laid to rest at Glenview Memorial Gardens (7541 Highway 50, south of Highway 7).
