SALPLSTIS, Peter Salpistis
November 23, 1941 - January 14, 2025
Peter leaves behind his beloved wife, Claudette, his devoted daughter, Betty Ann, son-in-law, Robert, his grandchildren, Julia and Michael, grandchild-in-law, Alex, and his cherished great-granddaughters, Ava and Aria. Peter was born on November 23, 1941, in Patras, Greece, and was the eldest brother to his siblings, Angelo (deceased), Angela (Kiki), and Helen.
Peter came to Canada with just a suitcase and very little money, where he met Claudette and immediately fell in love. Together, they built a life that lasted 63 years. Peter was known for wearing his heart on his sleeve. His genuine concern for others was evident in everything he did, especially for his wife and family. He had a passion for music, birds, soccer, dancing, cooking, and spending time at the race track. Above all, his greatest joy came from being with his family, especially with his granddaughter Julia and great-granddaughters Ava and Aria, who always brought a smile to his face.
Peter’s generosity and devotion will be deeply missed. His memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends. We say goodbye to a loving husband, devoted father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and uncle. Rest in peace, Peter.
“You left us beautiful memories, your love is still our guide, and though we cannot see you, you are always by our side.”

You have been the only Uncle in my life for the past 70 years and the only male role model for me. As well, a Great Uncle for my two children and a great-great uncle to their children. I thank you for taking care of us all in your own ways. You have always been a blessing to us in our lives. Until we meet again. Luv U.
